The Passport and Immigration Office is a special branch of the Mauritius police Force responsible for controlling and regulating entry exit and duration of stay of non-citizens on the Mauritian territory, in accordance with the provisions of the laws of Mauritius.

Intending passengers must hold a valid passport for travelling out of, or into, Mauritius. The passport must have a validity of at least 6 months.
