Following the national call launched by the Blood Bank to make up for the critical shortage in its stock, AML, ATOL & MDFP organised a Blood Donation activity on Wednesday 27 November 2019 at the Passenger Terminal Building of SSR International Airport from 07 30hrs to 16 30hrs.
Staff and airport stakeholders were prompt to respond and some 159 pints of blood were collected on that occasion. The laudable gesture of some additional 34 people who offered to donated blood but who unfortunately were unable to proceed due to medical and other reasons, also deserves due salutation.
AML, ATOL and MDFP are pleased with the outcome and express their gratitude to all who participated in the activity. The organisersalso encourages all other potential donors to continue to support the Blood Bank, as this formidable act of generosity allows not only to save life but also to transcend individual differences and consolidate our national harmony.
