First group of Pilgrims for Hadj leaves Mauritius

The first group of pilgrims for Hadj left Mauritius on 14 May 2025. Special arrangements were made at SSR International Airport (SSRIA) to facilitate their departure. These include the allocation of a dedicated check-in area, streamlined immigration and security clearance procedures, and the provision of assistance by terminal staff to ensure a smooth experience for all pilgrims.

In coordination with the relevant authorities, additional seating and shaded waiting areas were made available to accommodate elderly passengers and large family groups. Medical personnel were also on standby to attend to any health-related needs. AML ensured that all support services, including baggage handling and flight coordination, operated efficiently and in line with the significance of the pilgrimage.
