Airports of Mauritius Co. Ltd ("AML") Categorically Denies False and Defamatory Publication by Le Journal Du Dimanche and Announces Immediate Legal Action.
Airports of Mauritius Co. Ltd ("AML") has taken cognisance of an article published by Le Journal Du Dimanche in its Édition Numérique No. 1529, dated Dimanche 5 au Samedi 11 Juillet 2026, which appears on the front page as a headline and in full on page 12.
The article contains, amongst others, the following allegation:
"Selon les informations recueillies par notre rédaction, KS Business Co. Ltd, société dirigée par Basoodeo Seetaram, a été retenue pour assurer le transport du personnel d'AML."
AML categorically and formally denies the truthfulness of these allegations. AML wishes to state unequivocally that it has never awarded any contract to KS Business Co. Ltd.
The statements published by Le Journal Du Dimanche are thus false, inaccurate, misleading and devoid of factual foundation insofar as they concern AML.
AML wishes to inform the public, its employees, business partners, governmental authorities and stakeholders, that the publication does not reflect the true factual position and should not be relied upon as an accurate account of AML's affairs.
AML deeply regrets that such unfounded allegations were published without first seeking verification from AML or affording the Company an opportunity to comment prior to publication, contrary to the fundamental principles of responsible journalism and fairness.
The publication is liable to cause prejudice to AML's reputation, undermine public confidence in its governance and procurement processes, and adversely affect its relationships with its stakeholders.
AML conducts its affairs in accordance with the applicable laws of the Republic of Mauritius, the principles of good governance, transparency, accountability and all applicable procurement and corporate governance requirements.
In view of the gravity of the false allegations and the prejudice caused to AML, AML intends to initiate legal action and is seeking legal advice in connection thereto.
Nothing contained in this communiqué shall be construed as a waiver of any of AML's legal rights, all of which are hereby expressly reserved.
AML remains fully committed to the highest standards of integrity, transparency, accountability and lawful administration in all aspects of its operations.
AML thanks its employees, stakeholders, partners and the public for their continued confidence and assures them that every appropriate legal measure is being taken to protect the Company's reputation and institutional integrity.
